MUST recently hosted a group of students from the Malawi Defence Force Command and Staff College (MDFCSC) in Salima.
The visit aimed at strengthening a long-standing partnership between the two institutions.
The partnership includes a joint Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Studies, delivered at MDFCSC.
Dr Kondwani Wella, the University Librarian, welcomed the students, expressing his appreciation for their visit.
He emphasized the value of experiencing MUSTโs unique academic environment, where ambition, innovation, and excellence are deeply rooted.
โThis university is not just a place of learning, it is a space where dreams are built,โ Dr Wella said.
โAlthough your studies take place at your own campus, we hope the energy, discipline, and inspiration you find here will be carried back to your college.โ
Dr Atikonda Mtenje-Mkochi, Executive Dean of the Bingu School of Culture and Heritage, gave an engaging presentation about MUSTโs vision and mission.
She highlighted MUST's commitment to becoming a world-class centre of higher education, dedicated to creating impact-driven leaders across various sectors.
On his part, Colonel Alfred Matambo, Deputy Commandant at MDFCSC, expressed gratitude to MUST for hosting the students.
He recognized the universityโs significant role in supporting the growth and effectiveness of the MDF Command and Staff Collegeโs academic programmes.
โOur visit today is about reconnecting our students with where they belong, and they belong to MUST,โ said Colonel Matambo, acknowledging the shared goals and academic collaboration between the two institutions.
During the visit, the students toured MUST campus, and to symbolize their continued partnership, the two institutions exchanged gifts.
