The first cohort of the filming and television production short course under the MUSTโ€“Mibawa TV media training program, which started on October 1, 2025, has from today gone into practical sessions at Mibawa Studios.

MUST and Mibawa TV are jointly implementing a number of media related short courses aimed at skilling youths already in the media or those aspiring to join the sector, with a focus on practical knowledge.

In his address during the start of the practical session, Happy Banda, Operations Officer for the program at Mibawa, welcomed the students and highlighted the goal of the training.

โ€œBy the end of the program, we expect you to become professional scriptwriters, presenters, and producers,โ€ he said.
MUST in partnership with Mibawa Studios, introduced the media short courses to equip participants with hands-on skills in media production.

Under this partnership, MUST handles the theoretical training while Mibawa focuses on the practical component.

The short courses run for one month and aim to build capacity in Malawiโ€™s growing creative and media industry.

The first training was on Graphic Design and Photography in August and after the current one, there will be a third course coming.
