The African Drone and Data Academy (ADDA) at MUST has graduated 48 students who successfully completed the Certificate in Drone and Data Technology (CDDT2).
Held on February 6, 2026 at MUSTโ€™s Thyolo Campus, the ceremony marked the graduation of ADDAโ€™s 17th cohort.
Speaking during the event, Kimberly Saka, an instructor at ADDA, commended the students for their hard work and dedication, noting that their commitment had led to their success.
One of the graduates and class representative, Priscilla Namupokwe, thanked ADDA for the opportunity to gain skills in drone operations and data analysis.
She described the journey as challenging but rewarding and encouraged fellow graduates to embrace and use the skills they have acquired.
The ceremony was graced by the Head of the Earth Sciences Department at the Ndata School of Climate and Earth Sciences (NSCES), Mrs Ellasy Chimimba, who challenged the graduates to apply their knowledge for personal growth and national development.
She said drone technology is increasingly important across many sectors.
The graduation ceremony also featured presentations, highlighting how drone and data skills can be applied in various fields to support innovation and development.
