Fourteen student athletes from MUST have today left for Botswana as part of the Tertiary Students Sports Association of Malawi (TESSAM) squad to participate in the 2026 Confederation of University and College Sports Association (CUCSA) games.

The athletes were selected following their outstanding performances during the inter-varsity games held in November 2025, where students from different public universities across Malawi competed for selection into the national university sports team.

The CUCSA Games, which bring together universities and colleges from across the region, will take place from June 28 to July 4, 2026.

The games provide a platform for student athletes to showcase their talent, promote sports excellence and strengthen regional collaboration among higher education institutions.

Speaking ahead of their departure, Tamandani Mussa, former Sports Director for the MUST Students Representative Council who is also among the athletes, expressed excitement about representing both the university and Malawi on the regional stage.

MUST continues to support the growth of sports among students by encouraging participation in competitive events that promote teamwork, discipline, leadership and holistic development.

The University wishes the athletes success as they compete and proudly represent MUST and Malawi.
