For Chimwemwe Masakasa, pursuing a university education did not mean putting the rest of her life on hold.

As a second-year Bachelor of Arts in Language, Communication and Culture student at MUST, she has found a learning experience that allows her to grow academically while managing her other responsibilities.

Chimwemwe describes her journey as a MUST Open and Distance e-Learning (ODeL) student as rewarding and enriching.

She says the programme has given her flexibility to continue her education and gain valuable knowledge and practical skills.

"The programme has allowed me to balance my studies with other responsibilities while gaining valuable knowledge and skills. Although it has been challenging at times, it has helped me become more disciplined, independent and confident in my learning," she said.

Like many ODeL students, Chimwemwe has faced challenges, especially balancing her studies with work and meeting assignment deadlines.

However, she has overcome these obstacles by planning her time well, staying organised and remaining committed to her studies.

She says the experience has not only strengthened her academic knowledge but has also helped her develop important life skills, including discipline, independence and confidence.

Encouraging others who are considering to further their education, Chimwemwe says MUST's ODeL programmes are an excellent choice for anyone looking for quality education with flexibility to balance other commitments.

Through its Open and Distance e-Learning platform, MUST continues to make higher education more accessible by providing flexible learning opportunities that empower students to achieve their academic and career goals, regardless of their circumstances.
