The Vice Chancellor of the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST), Professor Address Malata was recently honoured with the 2024 University of San Francisco California (USFC) Presidential Chair Award.
Information shows that this is a prestigious award which aims at encouraging new or interdisciplinary programme development or enhancement of existing academic programmes of the university.
Announced on March 21, 2024, the award will see Professor Malata being appointed as a visiting professor at USFC's Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics for one year, beginning July 1, 2024.
