Main aim of the workshop
To improve postgraduate students’ academic writing skills so that they are able to write good quality and publishable research papers.
Specific Objectives
By the end of the workshop, the participants will be able to:
- Understand the connection between critical thinking and academic writing.
- Develop good research arguments.
- Adopt an academic voice in their academic research writing.
- Write properly referenced academic research papers.
- Write good quality abstracts, introductions, literature reviews, and methodologies for their academic research papers.
Target Audience
Postgraduate students doing their Masters program at the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) and other recognised universities in Malawi.
