Lecturers and other staff members from the Malawi University of Science and Technology recently attended a training on counselling and mentoring. The training was aimed at equipping the staff members with skills to help students, primarily, but even other members of the community such as family. According to Executive Dean of the Malawi Institute of Technology, Dr Davies Mweta, the training was an eye opener. He said they are now better equipped to deal with various social problems the university’s students may have. One of the trainers was Dr Chowoza Bandawe of College of Medicine.
