The Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) today launched the Innovation Scholar Program (MUST-ISP) at a colourful function held in the University’s library auditorium.
The program is for two years and is being implemented by MUST in partnership with LUANAR and Michigan State University with funding coming from USAID.
Under MUST-ISP, administrative, academic, industry and student scholars will be able to explore various areas and come up with innovations related to their areas of expertise. This is one rare combination where people from different backgrounds have been funded to do projects.
The launch function attracted officials from Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, captains of industry, academics, students and staff from the three universities.
More detailed story on the launch will follow later.
