The Malawi University of Science and Technology on January 23, 2019 held a memorial service for Blessings Mambala, a first year Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practice student who died on January 5 this year.
Blessings died at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe where he was admitted while home during the festive holidays.
His body was laid to rest on January 7 at his Chilipasi Village, Traditional Authority Mazengera in Lilongwe.
During the memorial, Blessings brief history and life on campus was shared in addition to prayers, observation of a minute of silence in his honour and singing.
The University Chaplain, Father Roy Makupe delivered a sermon before remarks by Vice Chancellor Professor Address Malata.
