He holds a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malawi (The Polytechnic) which he obtained in 1983. He also has an MSc degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick, Coventry, in United Kingdom which he obtained in 1988. Kingsley is now a Senior Research Fellow of the Centre for Innovation and Industrial Research of the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST). His main areas of expertise are Production and Project Management. Kingsley has worked with various firms including Brown & Clapperton, United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), Optichem Malawi Ltd, Portland Cement Co Ltd. He joined the Malawi Industrial Research and Technology Development Centre (MIRTDC) and provided the leadership role of Director of Technical Services on the various projects which were carried out by the organisation.
