David is the Director of the Centre and holds PhD and MSc in Environment and Development from Universities of Leeds and East Anglia in UK respectively. He is an Associate Professor of Environment and Development and an active researcher in the development discourse working with national and international organisations..
Joseph is a Research Fellow at the centre and holds MSc in Food Science and Nutrition from North Carolina State University, USA. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College. He is currently studying towards a PhD in Food Science and Nutrition at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in Kenya.
Robert Mkandawire has 21 years of experience in project and technology management space. Over the years he has managed technology transfer projects, especially in agro-processing and renewable energy sectors. In the field of entrepreneurship, innovation and technology transfer, Robert has developed and transferred technologies, trained entrepreneurs and helped them protect their intellectual property..
He holds a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malawi (The Polytechnic) which he obtained in 1983. He also has an MSc degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick, Coventry, in United Kingdom which he obtained in 1988. Kingsley is now a Senior Research Fellow of the Centre for Innovation and Industrial Research of the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST). His main areas of expertise are Production and Project Management.
Omega Mitinda is an Innovation Assistant at MUST CIIR. Her duty is to identify and mentor junior talents to help their innovative ideas become reality.
Tamara has qualitative and quantitative research experience in policy coherence to climate change adaptation and community-based climate change adaptation. She is studying towards her Master’s in Climate Change Adaptation at the University of Nairobi and holds a BSc (Hons) in Integrated Environmental Science from the University of Nairobi.
