MUST and TEVETA, through the Community Innovation Program (CIP), are inviting community innovators and researchers to apply for an innovation fellowship to work with experienced mentors in improving their innovations.
The CIP has a primary focus on innovators from communities in Malawi who create innovations but do not have the capacity or support to advance or commercialise for economic development. The program has been created on the premise that there are many innovations in communities that lack identification and support but have potential for commercialization and up-scaling.
MUST and TEVETA are leading a joint development and implementation of community led innovation systems and functions to support local level innovative ideas and link them to the University Garage. The key strategy is establishment of Community Innovation Hubs (CIH) to be supported by District Innovation Boards. Please download the call for application here:

The National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) in conjunction with the six public universities in Malawi, is calling for applications for public university selection. Attached here is the call and application form. Make sure you understand the instructions before filling the form. Again, take note that you are encouraged to do online applications:
Are you one of the students who have just passed their MSCE examinations, or you have a certificate obtained in the past three years and you qualify for public university selection? Id so, NCHE and the six public universities are inviting you to sensitization meetings that will be held in all districts across Malawi as per the attached statement:
Publishers of Advances in Sciences and Arts (ASA), an academic journal recently launched by the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST), is calling for manuscripts from researchers for the journal’s first issues expected to come out this July. The ASA will be having two issues in a year and the second issues will come out in December.
Organizers of the Bantu9 Conference, MUST and its partners, wish to remind all stakeholders of some deadlines that were extended to compensate for some technical challenges with the portal that is used for abstract submission and other logistics.
Among others, submission of abstracts will continue until February 25, 2022; the conference dates remain June 7th to 10th, 2022 in Malawi; deadline for workshop proposals was January 21, 2022; notification of acceptance for workshops was January 25, 2022; notification of acceptance for abstracts is March 31; and registration opening is in April 2022.
