MUST to host MIDC finals

The Malawi University of Science and Technology will on Monday, February 28, 2022, host finals of the Malawi Innovation and Design Competition (MIDC).

This is an annual event that is organised by MUST, Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) in conjunction with RICE360 and is aimed at promoting innovations in designing.

On the day, entrants to the competition, comprising students from the two universities and others from outside, will showcase their innovations and designs for the judges’ assessments.

However, the displays will also be open to the public to appreciate the innovations.

This year, the MIDC has attracted support from several partners such as UNDP, Malawi Bureau of Standards, National Commission for Science and Technology, Old Mutual, and National Construction Industry Council.

The event will be commemorated under the theme of “promoting innovation for a prosperous Malawi”.
