A poem on a Friday before exams
Nzoonadi, fumbi ndiwe mwini, anatero akulu kalelo!
It’s Friday again, and the campus is alive,
Yet the quiet air shows how hard we strive.
No games, no noise, just focused sight,
MUST is glowing with reading light.
Palibe masewera, ndi nthawi yokokera,
Each one chasing a dream that’s drawing nearer.
By the trees, some sit with a pen,
In the library, it’s study again.
Groups by the hostels, notes in hand,
Whispers of formulas sweep through the land.
Tonse tili pa mission, tikufuna kupambana,
To make our dreams shine like the morning sun.
So this weekend, dear eagle, take your stand,
Let discipline and effort go hand in hand.
No time to waste, no space for fear,
Greatness is calling, your exams are near!
Simungalephere, just give your all,
Remember, you were born to be a fruit,
Not just any fruit, but the fruit of excellence!
