The TAGDev 2.0 Program at MUST has supported 12 youth-led enterprises with US$10,000 each to upscale their businesses.

This was disclosed during during an onboarding session for the youth groups into TAGDEV 2.0's enterprise development support, thereby equipping them with practical skills including business management, financial management, monitoring and evaluation to strengthen and grow their businesses.

Speaking during the session, Dr Sarah Tione, a  member of the program's ASEC component from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Luanar), encouraged the young entrepreneurs to focus on building enterprises that can create wealth and employment, while working closely with cooperatives and smallholder farmers who supply their raw materials.

One of the beneficiaries, Chisomo Aliko Joshua, expressed her appreciation for the support, saying it would help her expand her enterprise and create more opportunities.

The onboarding session marks the beginning of a new phase for the enterprises as they put their skills and financial support into action, with a focus on building sustainable businesses and creating meaningful impact.
